The beans in your bag of Stampede rose to fame quickly due to the ideal growing conditions of the Aceh Tengah mountains. This region is home to the Permata Gayo Cooperative whose members hold a wealth of knowledge in harvesting coffee which leads to very desirable beans.
Stampede is one of our darkest-roasted, single origin coffees which results in a very low acidity level. The semi-washed process these arabica beans go through increases the coffee’s body and intensity. A taste that can be best described as big, bold and complex.
Permata Gayo Cooperative has evolved immensely over the years by streamlining their coffee production, export and quality. A cooperative that’s held an organic certification since 2007 and fair-trade certification since 2009. You know where the coffee is coming from, how its produced and who’s behind it. That’s the type of transparency that leads to world class coffee.
